    Filing a Claim
    You can file a claim for compensation for loss or damage of Priority Mail and Express Mail. Take the damaged item and proof of its value along with the original box and packaging materials and the original mailing receipt to any Post Office. A clerk will help you file your claim.     To check on the delivery status of your package, enter your label or receipt number in the space provided. Please be sure to enter all letters and numbers exactly as they appear on your label or receipt.

    PICKUP Orders in Lancaster PA
    Select "priority shipping" method.

    In coupon code at the top of the page put NOSHIPPING. (no spaces please)

    In special instructions write "will pick up".
    We will contact you to confirm a pick up time/date.

    Refused Shipments
    All shipments which are refused at the time of delivery will be issued a 25% restocking fee. We will not issue a refund for the initial shipping charges and/or rush fees. Any additional transportation charges incurred due to the refusal will be charged to the customers account and/or credit card.

    Address Correction Charges
    We request a "ship to" address. If this address is submitted incorrectly we will get billed by the carrier to correct the problem. The Professor's Wife must collect any additional charges billed to us regarding an incorrect address. Please review each step of your order and double check your addresses. The best time to avoid address correction charges is before the final submit button.

    P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO and International Addresses
    Unfortunately, we cannot ship to these addresses at this time.

    All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
    Because our products are handmade, we don't allow returns on them. We can not re-sell to someone else after the items have left our care. Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped.

    If merchandise is missing or damaged upon receipt please contact us immediately. All claims MUST be made within 3 days of receipt of order. If we shipped the wrong item to you by mistake, please contact us; we will re-ship your order with the correct item at no additional cost.

    All payments must be in US dollars. We do not accept personal checks.

    Phone Orders
    You are welcome to call in your orders to 717-330-0153. We are in the office Monday- Friday from 8 am to 8 pm (Eastern ST). If you would like to place an order during our off hours, please order online or leave us a message and we will call you back during business hours.

    Declined Credit Card
    If your card is declined and we need to restock your order (because it has been packed to get exact shipping charges), there is a 15% restocking fee. We do not restock your orders without first trying to contact you via phone or e-mail at least 3 times over a period of four weeks. If your card declines, there is a $.50 charge added to your invoice. Unfortunately, our credit card company charges us a transaction fee for each declined card so we have to pass this charge along to our customers. Rather than spread the charges out over each order we have chosen to only charge the customers with declined cards; we feel this is the most fair and effective way to recoup the charges.

    Credit Card Reversals
    A notice for customers who pay by credit card then request the valid charge to be removed from their bill: If you pay for your order via credit card then that charge is refused through your card company a processing fee of $50 or 50% of the order total, whichever is greater, is added to the order total. Chargeback notices are sent to merchants for many reasons. Your card issuing bank will allow you the opportunity to review and accept only the charges that are valid. If you choose to force a chargeback then pay for the order via money order we still have a negative report on our merchant account. This negative image is not something we want so our fees are high for processing this problematic issue. We have found most people are willing to review their card statement along with our documentation when an issue arises. We do not want to accept payment by other method when we have incurred costs and a negative report, two items which have concrete expenses and unmeasurable liabilities.
